Soft Answer Tai Chi E-mail
Tai Chi Chuan has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. I am now teaching a weekly Tai Chi class in Buda, Texas, near my home. This class is a way to give back to the community in improved health and a way to have fun. And, as an added bonus all of my Instructors profits (above cost of facility, insurance and marketing) will be donated for the support of orphans in developing nations. We support orphans through the International Childrens Care organization.

Students learn the Cheng Man-Ching Simplified Yang Style Tai Chi Form and Push Hands. Warm-up exercises are taught from the Tchoung Ta Tchen Double Sided Yang Style Tai Chi.

The Yang Styles of Tai Chi being taught provides great emphasis on relaxation, flexibility, increased range of motion, centering, and balance. Students learn to ‘relax’ while remaining alert. As students advance they learn push-hands techniques. These techniques develop the ability to ‘listen’ to the movements (and intent) of another person. In more advanced stages students learn self defense through relaxing, offering no resistance and utilizing the force of an opponent against them. Later instruction includes learning the Cheng Man-Ching sword form, Tchoung Ta Tchen moving push hands, two man drills, partnered sets, and more. Participants who practice regularly will experience body strengthening and realignment.

Buda Texas E-mail
Buda (pronounced "byew-duh") is a city located just south of Austin, Texas in Central Texas. For many Buda is the gateway to the Texas Hill Country. Recently, Buda was given the prestigious honor of being named the Outdoor Capital of Texas. By the way, if you are interested in a Recreational Vehicle, come to Buda!

Population is growing very rapidly for the City of Buda. The census today won't be the census tomorrow! The recent opening of Cabela's has brought a lot of new traffic to Buda. This area, once a sleepy little town, is sleepy no more! Now is an exciting time to be moving to and investing in Buda.

There are a variety of good websites with information about Buda. One good place to start whenever you want to learn something about practically anything is Wikipedia. The Handbook of Texas Online has a good page on the History of Buda. Another source of excellent information regarding Buda is the City of Buda Website.

The city of Buda has placed a tremendous emphasis on Economic Development. This should help develop the needed tax-base to support infrastructure in preparation for the tremendous residential population growth that is projected in the very near future. Spearheading much of this development is the Buda Economic Development Corporation.

If you really want to get your finger on the pulse of the City of Buda then the monthly meetings of the Buda Chamber of Commerce are invaluable.
